Together with 7 other jury members from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, Joseph was invited as part of the Judging panel in the 2014 NOVA Grand Final Competition in Jilin Animation Institute in Changchun. NOVA competitions were held in 6 regions, which included Taipei, Hong Kong, North China (Beijing), Southwest China (Chongqing), South China (Guangzhou) and East China (Shanghai), 18 winning team were selected to participate in the grand final in Chang Chun. The creative young guns had demonstrated their young and vigorous spirits in their works and won many praises from the creative leaders.
